ESPS Victoria Welcomes Qatari Naval Officer On Board for European Union Counter-Piracy BriefingsDecember 31, 2015 - 09:56
While alongside in Djibouti, EU Naval Force frigate, ESPS Victoria, welcomed a Qatari Navy officer on board.
During his time with the Spanish warship, the Qatari officer will be integrated into the ship’s teams to observe counter-piracy operations in an European warship. He will also be provided with a series of briefings about the different jobs carried out on board.
Agreements such as this with other naval forces help to enhance relationships with regional states and strengthen maritime security.
ESPS Victoria will remain a part of EU Naval Force until February, when she will return to her homeport of Rota, Spain.
