ARC 7 de Agosto Commanding Officer Visits Royal Navy of Oman Senior Officer During Visit to Muscat
September 5, 2015 - 09:47The Colombian warship, Arc 7 de Agosto, is currently working with the European Union’s counter-piracy operation off the coast of Somalia.
During their recent port visit to Muscat, Arc 7 de Agosto’s commanding officer took the opportunity to visit the Royal Navy of Oman Principal Staff Officer, Yaqoob Yousuf Abdullah Al Kameshki.
During their meeting both officers discussed the maritime security situation in the Indian Ocean and the successful counter-piracy efforts of naval forces that help to keep seafarers safe at the transit through the sea area.
Prior to his departure, Arc 7 de Agosto’s commanding officer thanked the Royal Navy of Oman for their support to the first Colombian warship to visit Oman.
