Atalanta Flagship HNLMS Tromp Conducts Local Maritime Capacity Building During Visit to Dar es Salaam
October 12, 2016 - 13:49During their recent port visit to Dar es Salaam, sailors from the Operation Atalanta flagship, HNLMS Tromp, conducted two days of Local Maritime Capacity Building (LMCB) training with personnel from the Tanzanian Navy and Coastguard.
The training included ‘scene of crime’ evidence collection, ship search procedures to locate a suspect person on board, first aid and fire fighting exercises.
The Dutch sailors were pleased to host the event, during which the Tanzanian personnel were very enthusiastic and fully engaged throughout.
