Atalanta Force Commander Visits Acting Chief of Tanzanian Navy
October 11, 2016 - 09:09On Tuesday 4 October 2016, Atalanta Force Commander, Commodore Luyckx, visited the acting Chief of the Tanzanian Navy Brigade, General Rogastian Shabani Laswai.
The visit took place in the Tanzanian Naval Headquarters in Dar Es Salaam, where the commanders discussed the current maritime security situation in the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean and the successful co-operation between the Tanzanian Navy and Operation Atalanta warships.
On completion of her visit to Dar Es Salaam, HNLMS Tromp resumed her counter-piracy patrols off the coast of Somalia and protection of World Food Programme vessels delivering humanitarian aid to the Somalia people.
