British bulk carrier hijacked
May 2, 2009 - 10:16A UK owned bulk carrier, carrying a load of 35.000 tons of soya, was hijacked today at first daylight in a position approximately 250 nautical miles South-West of the Seychelles. The crew is believed to be unhurt.
In the same area there was another, unsuccessful attack earlier the same night. Shipping has been warned to stay clear of the area for fear of further attacks.
