ESPS Relampago Hosts Minister of Defence, Military Officers and School Children During Visit to Madagascar
February 17, 2017 - 10:09During a busy port visit to Antsiranana, Madagascar, the commanding officer of ESPS Relampago, Lieutenant Commander Francisco Garcia Flores, welcomed the Minister of Defence and senior military officers on board. After a tour of the ship, the guests were invited to sign the ship’s visitors’ book.
ESPS Relampago’s crew also took the opportunity to conduct force protection and boarding training with members of the Malagasy Navy.
Prior to leaving Madagascar, the Spanish ship also hosted local school children.
Speaking about the visit, ESPS Relampago’s commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander Francisco Garcia Flores, said “Operation AtaIanta warships always receive a very warm welcome in Madagascar. It was my absolute pleasure to bring my ship into Antsiranana and the memories that my crew and I have made will stay will us for a very long time.”
