EU Naval Force Commander Visits Warship ESPS Infanta Cristina
April 23, 2015 - 12:52The Force Commander of Operation Atalanta, Rear Admiral Jonas Haggren, has visited Spanish Navy warship, ESPS Infanta Cristina, during one of her counter-piracy patrols off the coast of Somalia. ESPS Infanta Cristina has been deployed as part of Operation Atalanta since March 2015.
Rear Admiral Haggren was welcomed on board by the ship’s commanding officer, Lieutenant Commander David Durán. He was given a guided tour and introduced to members of the ship’s company.
The visit concluded with a traditional Spanish lunch of tapas in the Officers’ Wardroom.
