EU Naval Force Flagship ITS Carabiniere Conducts Maritime Training with Sailors from Madagascan Navy
December 29, 2015 - 13:51On Wednesday 23 December, during her port visit to Antisiranana, EU Naval Force flagship, ITS Carabiniere, conducted maritime training with sailors from the Madagascan Navy.
Following an initial briefing on fire-fighting and boarding operations, the 19 Madagascan trainees conducted a series of exercises with sailors from ITS Carabiniere.
On completion of the training, ITS Carabiniere’s training team received positive feedback from their Madagascan guests.
Operation Atalanta warships regularly engage with regional states during port visits and have helped to train and develop skills and capabilities to improve security within the region.
