EU Naval Force Warship ESPS Infanta Cristina Hosts Spanish Force Commander
May 18, 2015 - 08:14On Tuesday 12 May 2015, EU Naval Force warship, ESPS Infanta Cristina, hosted the EU Force Commander, Rear Admiral Alfonso Gomez (Spanish Navy), during one of their counter-piracy patrols off the coast of Somalia.
The Force Commander was welcomed on board by ESPS Infanta Cristina’s Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Commander David Durán, and given a guided tour of the ship.
A highlight of the visit was a demonstration by the embarked Force Protection Team that highlighted the tactics and procedures used when conducting boarding operations. The visit concluded with a lunch with crew members in the Officers’ Wardroom.
