HNLMS Rotterdam’s Dutch Sailors on exercise with Kenyan Navy
October 27, 2017 - 11:11On 16th October, sailors from EU Naval Force Dutch warship HNLMS Rotterdam exercised with 14 members of the Kenyan Navy based in Mombasa.
Training between the forces included, a practical introduction to Combat Boat operations using the Swedish embarked ‘CB-90’ and the Dutch Fast Raiding Interception Craft. Further workshops included evidence handling, friendly approach techniques, personal searches and basic first-aid.
Ongoing interactions such as these between European Union and local maritime forces are essential for maintaining close relationships across the maritime community, creating a safer environment for seafarers and sailors alike.
