Operation Atalanta Spanish Warship Welcomes Local Somali Leaders On BoardNovember 30, 2015 - 11:25
On Saturday 28 November 2015, Operation Atalanta warship, ESPS Victoria, welcomed local Somali Leaders on board.
The Somali coastal village leaders were able to discuss with the Commander, the current situation in their region, and the concerns that they had.
Keen to develop their understanding of the effort by EU Naval Force to help develop alternative livelihoods in Somalia, they discussed the current UN FAO mission to deploy fish aggregating devises along the coast.
Building relationships in the region gives both EU Naval Force and the Somali people a better understanding of how we can work together to improve the coastal region of Somalia.
