Operation Atalanta Warship HNLMS Groningen Hosts Commanding Officer of South Korean Warship ROKS Chungmugong
September 16, 2015 - 16:19During a port visit to Salalah in Oman, Dutch Warship, HNLMS Groningen, hosted the commanding officer of the South Korean destroyer, ROKS Chungmugong.
Commander Walter Hansen welcomed Captain Jae-Man Yoo and members of his crew on board on behalf of the EU Naval Force Commander.
Following a tour around the warship, both officers discussed their respective counter-piracy operations and the maritime security situation in Gulf of Aden and along the Somali Coast.
Before departing HNLMS Groningen, Captain Jae-Man Yoo said “Thank you for hosting us, it is of great importance that we continue to engage with other missions in the area and build upon our relationships for the future.”
