Operation Atalanta Warships HNLMS Tromp and ESPS Relampago Rendezvous at Sea with Japanese Warship JS Suzutsuki
November 21, 2016 - 14:50On Monday 21 November, HNLMS Tromp and ESPS Relampago met Japanese Warship, JS Suzutsuki, at sea.
During the rendezvous, the three ships conducted navigation manoeuvres to hone the skills of their navigation teams.
JS Suzutsuki is currently deployed with Combined Task Force 151, based in Bahrain.
Cooperation at sea between counter-piracy task forces is helping to ensure that piracy remains suppressed off the coast of Somalia and seafarers remain safe from attack.
After the meeting at sea the warships continued their counter-piracy patrols.
