Operation Commander Welcomes UK Security Policy Directors to EU Naval Force Headquarters in Northwood
July 14, 2014 - 15:36Earlier today the Operation Commander of the EU Naval Force, Rear Admiral Bob Tarrant, welcomed the UK Ministry of Defence’s Director General Security Policy, Mr Peter Watkins CBE and the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office Director for Defence and Security Policy, Mr Peter Jones, to the Operational Headquarters in Northwood.
During the visit the Directors were given an update on Operation Atalanta, which is the European Union’s counter-piracy mission off the coast of Somalia and in the Horn of Africa region.
