On Sunday 2 October the Operation Atalanta Force Commander, Commodore Luyckx, awarded the Operation Atalanta Medal to the multinational staff members embarked onboard the flagship, HNLMS Tromp.
Officers and Petty Officers from different EU Member States received the medal during a ceremony held on the Dutch warship’s bridge wing deck. They have spent 10 weeks at sea on the counter-piracy operation.
