Commander of CTF-151 Visits EU NAVFOR Detachments in Djibouti

Djibouti, 26 June 2019—Today, Rear Admiral Byeong-Ju Yu, the Commander of the flagship CTF-151 (Combined Maritime Forces (CMF)) visited EU NAVFOR Somalia Operation ATALANTA detachments in Djibouti.





The detachments he visited included the Support Element of ATALANTA (SEA), the Spanish Military Patrol Reconnaissance Aircraft (ES MPRA) and the German National Support Element (GE NSE). The detachments each briefed R. Adm. Yu on their respective operational duties.





R. Adm. Yu said that in his position as Commander of CTF-151, he looks forward to maintaining a strong cooperation with EU NAVFOR Somalia, as the two forces share the same counter-piracy objectives.
