On Monday 9 November 2015 Italian navy divers from ITS Carabiniere conducted a diving exercise with sailors from the Royal Navy of Oman.
The joint exercise was an opportunity for the divers to practice highly-specialized skills in the search, location and removal of simulated explosive charges underneath a ship’s hull.
The divers also conducted joint training in the use of equipment and procedures used in the safe defusal of explosive devices.
