Visiting EEAS Missions and Operations in Somalia
Also during her visit to Mogadishu, HR/VP Mogherini visited personnel and troops from
the three European Union Common Security and Defence Policy missions: EU NAVFOR Operation Atalanta, EU CAP Somalia and EUTM Somalia.
Apart from its involvement in security in the Horn of Africa, the European Union works diligently to strengthen its partnership with the region in many areas. These areas include common interests the EU shares with the Horn of Africa such as addressing climate change, boosting investment, improving management of migration and creating more opportunity for youth. Continuing her visit in the Horn of Africa, HR/VP Mogherini will visit Kenya, Djibouti and Ethiopia.
