Last 28th of February the Head of EU Delegation to the Federal Republic of Somalia 🇸🇴, Mrs. Tiina Intelmann, visited for the first time the EU NAVFOR ATALANTA Force Headquarters (FHQ) on board ESPS Canarias, flagship of 39th FHQ Rotation. Portuguese Commodore Joao Pereira, Force Commander (FCdr) of EUNAVFOR ATALANTA, welcomed the EU delegation together with representatives of the European Union Capacity Building Mission in Somalia (EUCAP Somalia) and the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia).
This fruitful high level meeting provided the perfect environment for sharing information and views about the present situation in Somalia, the future of EUNAVFOR ATALANTA and its contribution to support the EU sister missions EUCAP and EUTM Somalia, as part of the EU Integrated Approach to Somalia.
Along with Mrs. Tiina Intelmann, took part in the meeting the EU Delegation Political and Security Affairs Advisor, Mr. Alexander Borum; the Deputy Head of EUCAP Somalia, Mr. Fabian Loewenberg; and the Deputy Mission Commander of EUTM Somalia, Colonel Hans Granlund.
